Amazing Girl’s Foundation is one of the Days for Girls Enterprises in Ghana who are into the production and sale of reusable sanitary pads and also advocate for Menstrual Hygiene
Management Amazing Girl’s Foundation is a well registered organization with a backing certificate from the registrar General Department and a district certification as well. It is as a grassroots organization which is largely volunteer-driven. Amazing Girls came into being when its founder worked in an orphanage where she got to know the girls there were very disadvantaged when it came to keeping themselves hygienic during their menstrual periods and also had personal experiences. They had to resort to using pieces of cardboards as pads. In Ghana, Amazing Girls operational areas covers producing washable sanitary pads, livelihood programmes for women and education on reproductive health. It focuses on traditional settings: rural and remote settings and partners with donors to secure funding for girls and also supports women enterprises with subsidies.
We have a curriculum which highlights on hygiene, Puberty, the male and the female anatomy, self-defense just to mention a few in which we go to rural communities to meet the women and the girls to have interaction with. We are located in the Awutu Senya West District, Senya-Beraku specifically, in the central region of Ghana off kasoa _ Winneba Road. We have been in existence since 2016.
